Bernadette Ruth Irawati Setiady is Chairwoman of Kalbe Farma, the largest publicly-listed pharmaceutical company in Southeast Asia. She was CEO of Kalbe Farma from 2008 to 2017. Through her entrepreneurial spirit, she has created One Kalbe Spirit Environment, expanded international division, biopharma division and built a digital healthcare ecosystem environment. Previously she has served as the company’s Marketing Director of Ethical and OTC Businesses and Director for Corporate Strategy and Business Development. She started her career as a food formulator in PT. Bukit Manikam Sakti in 1987 and subsequently became CEO of Kalbe Nutritionals Division from 1994 to 2014. Ms. Irawati was listed as one of Forbes Indonesia Inspiring Women 2017 and top 50 of businesswomen in Forbes Asia’s 2013. Recently, she was named EY Indonesia Entrepreneur of The Year 2016 and represented Indonesia in EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year in Monte Carlo on June 2017. She holds a Master of Science degree in Food Science from Cornell University.
