Ma. Victoria A. Tan, also known as “Vickie”, is the Group Head of the Enterprise Risk Management and Sustainability Unit of Ayala Corporation, one of the largest and time-honoured Philippine conglomerates with leadership positions in various industries.

She supports the Chief Risk and Sustainability Officer and implements various group-wide policies and programs that are all designed to increase the awareness on and strengthen the commitment to risk management and sustainability. She further manages the group insurance optimization program, the annual Ayala Integrated Summit and the group-wide sustainability reporting. Her leadership has led Ayala to be the first local company to embark on Integrated Reporting, adopt multiple sustainability frameworks, and implement the integration of risk management, sustainability, and governance.

Vickie has been named as one of Eco-Business’ 2019 A-List of most influential corporate sustainability leaders in the Asia Pacific. In the same year, she was also recognized as one of Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen by CSRWorks. In 2018, she received the Asia Pacific’s Risk Manager and Risk Management Team of the year by the Strategic Risk. Her pioneering efforts also helped the Ayala Group to be recognized as the Top CSR Advocates in Asia Award by ACES Awards, and as Asia Pacific’s Best Enterprise Risk Programme, both in 2017. Back in 2016, she also received the CSR Leadership Award by CMO Asia.

A seasoned professional who has worked within the ASEAN Region, her expertise spans finance & controllership, administration & operations, internal audit, risk management, and sustainability. Prior to joining Ayala, she worked with Smart Communications as its Chief Audit Executive.

Vickie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and was one of the board placers in the October 1986 Certified Public Accountant Licensure examination. In her spare time, she loves to cook and travel with her family and friends and during the lockdown, she focused on her vegetable and herbs gardening interests.
