Kerry Properties’ first sustainability report wins at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards

Hong Kong, 8 February 2018: The inaugural Sustainability Report 2016 issued by Kerry Properties Limited (“Kerry Properties”) was awarded “Asia’s Best First Time Sustainability Report” at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards 2017 hosted in Singapore.

The Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards are organised by CSRWorks International, a leading provider of sustainability services in Singapore. The Awards recognise and honour sustainability reporting leaders in Asia, and celebrate best practices in sustainability reporting and communications.

The competition was tough as there are many listed companies in Asia and large-scale multinational conglomerates competing in the awards each year. The award ceremony was held in Singapore on 6 February to unveil the winners of each category.

The accolade justifies Kerry Properties’ first Sustainability Report have demonstrated a promising start by producing a well-rounded report focused on material topics and stakeholder engagement. Kerry Properties’ Sustainability Report 2016 defines and announces the Group’s sustainability roadmap. The report was prepared in compliance with the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong’s Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Guide. The report discloses the Group’s sustainability performances in terms of environmental protection, responsible operation, staff caring and community investment. This helps the general public and stakeholders of the Group to have a better understanding of Kerry Properties’ effort spent in these sustainability-related issues.

It is a huge encouragement to the Group for being awarded. This award reflects the effectiveness of Kerry Properties’ Sustainability Report in communicating their commitment and efforts to the public and will drive the Group to seek further enhancement in sustainability development.
