Singapore, 01 August: CSRWorks is pleased to announce its latest project: Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen, a non-profit initiative to honour the region’s exceptional female sustainability leaders. It will be an annual listing of women leaders who are driving change within and outside their organisations for a sustainable future.

Nominations for the first edition of Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomencan be submitted online latest by 7 Sept 2018.

The nominations are open to native Asian women working in Asia with exemplary leadership in sustainability. Also eligible are expatriate women who have lived and worked in Asia for at least the past 5 years championing sustainability.

The nominee should be in a senior management role with a demonstrated commitment to sustainability. Examples include CEOs or equivalent, executives directly reporting to CEO, Chief Sustainability Officers, Head of Sustainability, similar positions and equivalent positions if the nominee is from a non-corporate sector. The nominee should have held the current position for at least three years.

Women leaders from all sectors including but not limited to corporate, non-profit, academia, media, government, regulatory bodies and associations are eligible for nomination.

An international jury will review and assess the nominations to decide the final list. This year’s list will be unveiled at Asia Sustainability Reporting Summit 2018 in Singapore on 2nd October at a cocktail reception.

Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen is an initiative to recognise the power, influence and contribution of women leaders who are passionately leading the transformation we all need in order to transition to a just, equitable, peaceful and low-carbon society”, says Rajesh Chhabara, Managing Director of CSRWorks International.

He adds, “Through this exciting initiative, we hope to inspire more young women to become change makers.”

Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen will be co-hosted together with the Asia Sustainability Reporting Summit 2018 in Singapore to be held from 2-3 October. The Summit expects to welcome more than 52 speakers and nearly 300 delegates representing the sustainability reporting community. More information about the programme can be found here.
