Motivated by the literature of global warming and awakened by the impact of the ozone hole, Felix ventured a new career in clean energy and sustainability in 2010. For Felix, sustainability means development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. He advocates the cause that frugal energy consumption is the one and only way to make the Earth sustainable.
Felix initiated and managed photovoltaics and wind energy projects in Hong Kong. Together with environmental groups Felix actively voiced out the necessity of feed-in tariff for renewable energy in the context of business operation environment. The feed-in tariff is finally introduced in 2018.
Felix is currently serving at Schneider Electric, taking care of the Energy and Sustainability Services team. The climate section of the 2018 – 2020 Schneider Sustainability Impact statement states the goals of:
- 80% renewable electricity
- 10% CO2 efficiency in transportation
- 100 million metric tons of CO2 avoided on Schneider customers’ end through Schneider offers
- 25% increase in turnover for Schneider EcoStruxure Energy & Sustainability Services
