Mr Scott Wightman at the picturesque Eden Hall, was attended by senior business leaders and dignitaries from non-profit organisations, embassies, trade associations, advocacy organisations and academia.

The winners received a specially designed plaque framed with recycled wood. The winner of the top honours, Asia’s Sustainability Report of the Year, won an exclusive golden plaque. All finalists received a merit certificate printed on certified paper sourced from sustainable forests. Also, the winners and the finalists will be eligible to use the exclusive Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards logo as a mark of excellence in sustainability reporting.

AIRA, a non-profit initiative, is organised by Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm CSRWorks International to recognise excellence in reporting.

Following a global trend, several stock exchanges in the region now require listed companies to produce an annual sustainability report, mainly to meet investors’ demand for non-financial disclosure. AIRA winners are setting a new benchmark in sustainability reporting excellence which in turn will inspire more companies to raise the bar.

“Companies’ win at AIRA reflects their leadership in managing long-term social, environmental and economic impacts, risks and opportunities for competitive advantage,” said Rajesh Chhabara, managing director at CSRWorks International.
